The Diploma of Community Welfare Work students volunteered at this years Homeless Connect Day. The day provided the Gold Coast homeless to gather and access service providers all in one location. The homeless guests could also take the opportunity to shower, have a free haircut and massage amongst other things. A free breakfast and lunch was provided along with donations of food, toiletries and clothes. This an annual event was opened by Mayor Ron Clarke to enable the homeless guests to feel special for a day.
