 Racing to work together

This fun exercise was an introduction to the module group work. The three groups were given instructions to build a racing car given only vegetables, pipe cleaners and wooden skewers. Cars were tested at the end of the session and the winning team was the car that could travel the furthest. The winning team was the 'Racing Rainbows', second place was 'Crazy Vegetables' and third place was 'Transformers'.

The exercise gave the students insight into group processes as they had to quickly learn to work together and make decisions together. This insight is valuable when working with clients in group situations in the community welfare sector
