What’s been happening at AICA EDUCATION?
WELCOME to TERM 4 2009
Term 3 2009 brought many positive changes to our College. The first exciting step was our move to the Huntington Building in July. I think we all agree that the new facilities are amazing. We have noticed many students taking advantage of the recreational facilities this new campus has to offer, there has even been a few Teachers versus Student squash games.
Our first Huntington “Sausage Sizzle” was a great success and everyone enjoyed “catching up” by the pool. This gave students from all AICA’s campuses to try out the new facilities and catch up with their fellow students and of course try some of Barry’s famous sausages.
Many of our students have entered competitions this term and with great success.
Katrine Sundstrom 1st Place in the Creative Print Section.
Kathryn Mitchell 3rd place in the Visual Arts section - Pottery Wheel thrown
Alessandro Surjan de Souza Down Under Series was chosen from many entries for Worldwide Charity Christmas Card Range for 2009.
Yumi Kim Runner up in the Biggest Morning Tea "Design next year’s mug competition".
Michaela Kloeckner (Teacher) Runner up in the Biggest Morning Tea "Design next year’s mug competition".
Congratulations to all the Students and Teachers that have participated in local and national competitions this term, we can’t wait to see next terms work.
Believe it or not we are starting to plan the December 2009 Graduation Ceremony, this exciting event will be held on the 16th December at the Huntington Building. We will bring you more information as the plans are set.
We are all looking forward to Term 4 2009 and wish all our students every success in the coming months.
