 Diploma of Ikebana

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Ikebana is a sculptural art form that originated from the floral religious offerings composed by Japanese and Chinese monks. The Diploma of Ikebana has been developed using this historical background and blends this with contemporary ideas and forms. It encompasses instruction in ceramics, art, drawing & painting, philosophy, photography and computer design in addition to Ikebana. This advanced course combines the study of 3D design with theoretical, technical and practical experience in the arts.

AICA is one of the only colleges in the world that teaches this unique form of design. Fresh flowers are used on a daily basis.
